Nope I have 1 inch clearance, bumper to fender. I had to trim the flexible fillers though.

There is a 73 Monte on the internet ive seen before. The guy used a first gen.bumper. dont know how he did it but it looked really good.

Did you just trim the fillers along that front edge that sits under the bumper?
Or did you have to cut back further?

Just trimmed to match the profile of the bumper, there's room for error.

OK...probably starting this soon, wasn't sure where to trim.
I did get an extra set of corners just in case.

I'll be looking out for your pics to see how it turns out. I was told to just remove the center section on my 75 Malibu but I would have to trim the edges. That makes me kind of nervous.
