Also- I like that Camaro color- it's probably the same paint, maybe with a different name. GM was good like that! Rolling Eyes

Lol, I had a hairstyle like bowtie in high school until the dean gave me a hair cut senior year. Thanks again for all the pics.

Bought two Energy Suspension 91-96 Caprice body mount kits #3.4136. This kit has the harder polyurethane bushings and these bushings accept the 73 metal inserts. Only used the taller/wider bushings from each kit.

Thanks 77mali! I like that Burnished copper poly. We had a 71 Lemans in our family that same color when I was a kid.
The paint color has been difficult for me, this Monte is only getting painted once. My good friend who is painting the Monte wants to go silver, cant go wrong with code 60. My mother had a new 73 Landau in silver(light pewter).
I am still looking for my copper/gold options, probably have another couple months before paint.

Lots of hammer/dolly work by my friend Tony to make the Monte straight. He is file fitting the front corners to fit better to the fender. Hope to drive it this summer.

Thanks guys, a lot of time and money to do the Monte right.
Three coats of Chrome-Z sprayable filler will go on this week.

Doors, fenders, trunk lid and core support are all at the acid dipper in Franklin, WI. Then off to be dipped in epoxy in MI.

I should have the dipped panels back in about 4 weeks.

Yes, I put 2500 miles on the Monte summer '13 and have not driven the car in 20 months.
I could have left the car alone but too much rust was falling out of the headliner and could never have it out in the rain.

Still having a tough time picking a color. Going to paint supplier today to talk about options.
