MSD hei Disteributor clearance?

will a hei MSD DISTRIBUTOR clear the firewall on a 73 chevelle with a 350ci?

you have to get BFH to bend it in just a little bit at the top of dist....unless its the smaller dist.....you dont have to bang alot just enough to make it clear use a body shop dolly it will make it real smooth instead of hammer marks

Go with a MSD I thought this would not be a problem for clearance.

I have a stock HEI with no clearence Issue, dunno if the MSD is larger or not.

hey dan can you measure the top of your HEI for me??

If you can gain the clearance to work, heat up the firewall a little, then put a spare piece of exhaust pipe where you need the clearance. It keeps the hammer marks on the pipe and gives you a nice smooth vertical "channel" for the rear of the cap and wires.

Brand new. HEI Distributor for $57 dollars shipped. Too good to be true?

i have this (380064647326) in my 73 monte with a 454 and there are no clearance issues.it goes in and out with no problem,even with the cap on.

i got hei in my 73 with a 350

a stock style HEI will clear any 73 and newer A, G, F,or B body.
this includes the aftermarket chinese junk that you can buy for under $100 all the way up to the $500 MSD HEI.
