Are they different than the 73 coupe or are they the same part interchangeable?

I put new ones in my '74 Malibu coupe and my '75 Elco , and they had different part numbers......

I see that OPGI has them for both, @ $69.95 for the pair...Soffseal brand. Coupe P/N is AMS5035, and Elco is P/N AMS5034....

I have soft seals but they are not as soft as originals and windows don't like to go all the way up unless you open the door. So looking for a NOS set

'73-'77 Coupe roof rail weatherstrip part numbers:

GM 9629696 (RH); superceded by 9878788 (RH)
GM 9629697 (LH); superceded by 9878789 (LH)

You will also find that the superceded parts have a rougher skin texture than what originally came on the cars.

40 year old NOS rubber may not be as good today as it was when new?

I was in the extrusion/molded rubber & sponge business (I know...how exciting, huh?) and can tell you that the closed cell sponge that these were made from did not suffer any substantial deterioration if kept in the box and away from U.V. Open cell foam, on the other hand, was much more prone to deterioration...to the point where it would often turn to powder over time.

Mcarlo is right about keeping rubber products sealed in bags etc.  In my aviation work I have to keep all rubber stuff bagged, like tires, O rings, hoses etc,  Specially if the "friendly" FAA folks happen to drop around. Very Happy
It's the ozone that deteriorates rubber, which of course is in the air we breath etc. UV rays too of course..

On my Malibu and El Camino, I had new GM inner & outer door felts saved for those cars.
