Vi-King Double Adjustable Shocks & Trans Crossmember
I just wanted to share some picture of my new Vi-King Double Adjustable Rear Shocks and
G Force trans crossmember (aka Summit Racing brand) soon to be installed.
I though everyone would like to see a comparison between the Vi-King shocks and Competition Engineering shocks.
Although the Vi-King are rear and Comp Engineering are front, you can get the idea of build quality between the two.

True, but remember the saying: "You get what you pay for."

Yes, the Vi-King double adjustable shocks were less expensive than QA1, Strange, & Afco.
Double Adjustable:
Vi-King: $179.99 each
QA1 $235.97 each
Strange: $250.00 each
Afco: you don't want to know
Vi-King double adjustable got very good reviews on a number of other forums.

Plus they have a 2 year warranty. I believe the others are 1 year.

From what I understand, Viking was started by 2 guys that left QA1. But a good double adjustable shock is an improvement to help get the rear tire to bite.

That is what I read on a few different websites.
I am not sure how good QA1 DA shocks are, as long as the Vi-King shocks are good it doesn't matter to me who started the company.

Re: Vi-King Double Adjustable Shocks & Trans Crossmember
I've heard all the stories that QA1 sucks, that they got worse recently and it may or may not have been the reason for the guys leaving etc. I also know of a few cars with older Qa1 parts that worked fine. I had QA1 springs in the rear of my car up until last winter. I think basically the reviews were given by people trying to go REALLY fast with cheap stuff and then complained it didn't work. For the average street/strip, bracket car I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I have the VI-KING double adjustable roller bearing units on the front of my car and am very satisfied.
2 year warranty. Complete set up was close in comparability to separate lower springs and shocks.
Plus , they look great.
See them in my post with the B-body front spindle upgrade.
