New '73 Owner In Jersey
Just picked up a fairly clean '73 Malibu 307/th350 p/s m/b w/ 61,000 original miles on it, for a whopping $1200. The first things on the list to do to this car is put a tilt wheel & bucket seats in it cause Im 6'5" and having a bench seat and no tilt wheel doesnt work out so well for me. Been reading this forum for about 2 weeks now and already learned a lot about the G3 cars, Im very familiar with the earlier ones(Ive had my '67 for 14 years and my brother has a beautiful '70), but didnt know too much about the '73-'77 cars. Enough rambling heres some pics of the '73.
And a few pics of my '67

Re: New '73 Owner In Jersey
Wow, very nice. It's like Blue Balls' older brother. (I've got a 74, same color.) Question for ya: How bad was the body on yours or your brother's car when you sent them off to the body shop? I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of how much it is gonna be to get it blasted and done up. It's in pretty good condition with the exception of some surface rust, and rust through on the rear fenders along the doors. Let me know. Any info will help. Also, did you rebuild your engine yourself?

Re: New '73 Owner In Jersey
The only time either car went to a body shop was to be painted. The one pic I posted of my 73 and 67 in the garage was where all the work was done, Me and my Dad did my 67 and my dad and brother did my brothers 70. My brother had it easy though as he went to school for autobody and has been working at a shop for almost 6 years now, oh and it helps that his G/F works in the paint department so she painted it. lemme see if I can dig up a pic or too
