Well, I had to post this when I found it. This 73 Monte is wicked bad-A$$! I love that sound. It sounds just like my white 73. Something tells me he's not running stock 2.73s out back, however.

Dustin, those are some cool drag racing videos of your Monte!!

And I agree the silver 77 in that video you showed us way back also is beautiful, especially with all the nice babes. It's got some non-factory chrome trim around the Landau roof, but they work great with that color combination.

Oh, here's one of my favorites too, showing a 74 454-equipped Monte. It's worth learning German just to hear the dialog in this one...!! LOL.

It is actually an S-coupe with the vinyl roof option so the stainless steel trim around the top would be correct.

Its actually a '75 Monte Carlo. The 74 didn't have a grill emblem. It was on the header panel. I had to watch it a couple times to confirm it by the tail lights. It has the same wire basket wheels that my 76 had from 1987-2005. I almost cried watching that video. That poor Monte Carlo.

Dustin, you're absolutely right about the red 75 that was wrecked. I always knew it was a 75; I don't know why I mis-typed and wrote 74.

The silver Monte might be an S coupe (and the emblem on the sail panel seems to confirm that) but it's definitely got Landau style vinyl on the roof, probably because of the t-tops. And it's got chrome trim around the rear window that was available only on non-vinyl top S coupes. So much for the factory parts; the brightwork separating the roof from the body is Landau-style but it should be painted vinyl roof cover, not chrome. You can see this at 0:13 and 0:34 and some other places in the video.

That's OK. I never used to like Monte Carlos when I was younger, but they are slowly starting to grow on me. Maybe one day I'll end up with one & be able to look here for info like a Newb, lol.
