anyone ever see a 1973 Nickey Chevelle?
I've never seen a picture of a 1973 Nickey prepared Chevelle. The silver and black Baldwin Motion 73 Chevelle SS is well-publicized and was at MCACN this year.
Check out this Nickey ad from the past. Thanks to Mitchell Murphy who got me a copy of the Chevelle Report circa 1998 which commemorates the 1973.Chevelle and had this ad inside.

Yeah. The guy I bought my car from had one in his barn. I wanna say it was black but not sure. my dad actually has a picture of it somewhere. Pretty sure it was all original and unrestored. Just looked like it had been sitting around a while in a barn like most old cars do. lol He lives in Minn. and has quite the collection. And always seems to come across these sorts of oddball things.

Love the selection of engines offered. An LT-1, a 427, and an LS-6? Man did Nickey put some sweet lineup of engines in these cars. Any of them would have been sweet to have.
Oldschool, where in Minn? I'd love to find out and see if I could just check it out.

Re: anyone ever see a 1973 Nickey Chevelle?
OK, so I signed up for the Supercar registry forums since I knew there was a photo of one on that forum, but I couldn't see it because I wasn't a member. Check out the photo of the car. This is the only image I can find on the internet of a 1973 Nickey Chevelle. This was posted in a musclecar magazine, only one photo, with the author claiming that the owner has verification on the originality, and that it has the Nickey nameplate on the trunk.
From this one photo, some interesting things to note. Nickey hoodstripe, hood tachometer, rear spoiler which the article says that it was made for the Chevelle and not a retrofitted Camaro spoiler, what appears to be possibly some additional striping across the rear quarter panel, and it's tough to tell from the photo but it looks like perhaps a front spoiler/extension was added below the stock bumper?? You be the judge. Anything else I missed? I'm ignoring the Corvette Rally wheels since those are easily changed out.

It's around the small town of Herman. But I'm pretty sure he sold it a while ago. I'm waiting to hear back from my dad because I know he had a picture of it he showed me. And now that this topic has come up I'm interested too. lol

At that big muscle car show near Chicago I saw a glimpse of a first Gen Monte prepared by Nickey.

Here's a pic of our friend's car he had. Ok, I guess it wasn't black. lol The real deal and a true 4 speed car. I guess someone from Iowa bought it from him.

Re: anyone ever see a 1973 Nickey Chevelle?
Ive never heard of a nickey edition of the chevelle. Or any other nickey cars before. I guess it is a pretty rare car, but still i cant help but Think it looks like a teenagers attempt of making a hotrod out of moms grocerie getter. The engine is cool however and i would love to have one or the other in my chevelle. The baldvin motion chevelle looks pretty cool though. And the SE that limey has is also a cool special version.
Did yenko ever make a 73 chevelle? And was there other dealerships of the same Nature? As baldvin, yenko, SE etc. It is always cool to learn stuff about my cars legacy.

I don't believe Yenko ever built a 73 Chevelle but I could be wrong. Some of the other dealerships of the same nature back in the muscle car glory days include, but are not limited to:
Berger Chevrolet, Grand Rapids, Michigan
Fred Gibb Chevrolet, La Harpe, IL

That's the dealership my former '72mc was bought at originally ... even still had the "By Berger" chrome on the driver's side rear!
I'm rather familiar with the Nickey cars ... just not this particular version....
