Re: people & memories! your HS cars?

I was driving a 77 El Camino when I graduated high school in 1986. Some things don't change much in 30 years. Lol. I sold it right after graduation and bought the 1986 Monte Carlo SS.

Man do I feel OLD now.
I have a picture somewhere of my first car, but can't find it right now. It was a 64 Corvair that was only 9 years old at the time.

Still have mine, most of it anyway. I changed the body, doors, seats among other parts. My Malibu is the second car I had in highschool. The first was a 1980 Impala. I was rear ended 3 days after receiving my license.
What it looked like when I purchased it in 1996.

Truth be told, I didn't like the car when I first got it. My dad took my money and purchased the car without my approval and I didn't think the car was all that cool for a 16 year old. The more I drove it, the more I enjoyed it.

My first car was a 16 year old 1976 Malibu Classic sedan. It was the same car I came home from the hospital in when I was born. It lasted 8 years with Mom as primary car, then 8 years of bus stop duty with Dad, and then 8 years of me abusing the poor sedan.
