Greetings from Germany
Hi Folks,
Wanted to intrudce myself quickly.
I'm Andy from Germany.
My neverending love is with my 73' El Camino 454 SS.
I bought it 3years ago.
It wasn't a so called good romance to begin with. Drove the car home after i purchased it and after a 4 hour drive (right in front of my driveway) the Timing Chain said goodby.
I used that as an excuse for a complete rebuild of the engine, new valves, ported heads, bigger oilpan, complete 3 inch exhaust with headers, etc. you name it.
Then i drove it last year daily with few changes to the ignition system, but without a problem.
This year i have done the floorpans and now it's suspension time.
Wanted to replace the control arm bushings and found that one of my sources (rockauto) got a poly set listed in the wrong year.
Hope now your expertise can help me find the right parts.
But thats for another thread.
Regards
Andy

welcome aboard Andy! This is the best group of G3 enthusiasts/experts you'll find anywhere. Love the orange with the black stripe and wheels. It's a mean look.

Re: Greetings from Germany
Welcome Andy! I hear that there were 2 different size front control arm bushings for 1973. I think that might be the issue. I think you have to remove your old ones in order to measure them and know which version for 1973 to order.
