Re: blacked out front end
i've thought about blacking out most of the chrome on my Monte. i painted the inside of the grille and left some of the chrome bare to make the grille look more "minimal" this summer. i also did the grilles in the bumper to match, and it looks pretty badass. it totally changed the look of the front of the car, and all it took was a couple of hours and half a can of Krylon semi gloss black spray paint.
besides the bumpers, there really isn't that much chrome on a '74 Monte- headlight bezels, windshield trim, tail light bezels and trunk trim- and most of the chrome is all pitted and just plain crappy looking anyways, so i really wouldn't be wrecking anything of value.

Re: blacked out front end
Anyone that takes photos of their car while wet obviously doesn't have a decent paint job. Judging from the pics, this thing is way over-priced.

Re: blacked out front end
A blacked out front end would probably look good if you make all the other trim pieces black as well.

Re: blacked out front end
He admitted it needed a paint job. That means double the price that it costs. They are charging $10,000 here for a GOOD paint job. JB74Malibu383 wrote:Anyone that takes photos of their car while wet obviously doesn't have a decent paint job. Judging from the pics, this thing is way over-priced.

Re: blacked out front end
I like the hood, bumpers, and grille black but the other trim should be left silver/chrome/polished
