295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
Getting a little out there on this but I am thinking about it. I am looking at Aero 10" NASCAR wheels and 295/50/15's on all four corners of the Laguna. Has anyone tried a combo like this?

I'm not sure of these wheels and tires Kevin, but I know they're at least 10"or wider with at least 295 or bigger tires.

That is just what I wanted to see. That is what I am looking for. I am going to order a rim tomorrow and get a used tire to sort some things out. I just looked at the car again and I think everything will fit. Thanks.

Re: 295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
If I'm correct Kevin, those wheel might even be 12" or 13" wide. I wish I still had his build saved, but the last time I looked for it, it had a lot of "Photo-bucket" pictures and you can't see them anymore.

That car doesn't have any rear quarter windows. I would like to find that build and look at it. Thanks for the info.

Re: 295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
I have bassett 10" on all four corners with Goodyear 27.5x12x15 on all four. Wheel offset is 5" right down the middle. Just have to cut or roll the rear lip a little...

Thanks Limey. Hey Oldschool454, is your car lowered? How much room to you have on the inside front and rear? Thanks.

Re: 295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
The rear in lowered 2 inches. I have about in inch between tire and frame, and like I mentioned, on the outside I had to shave the top of the quarter panel lip down to about 1/4 inch. Just around the top where the tire is...The front is a different story. It's lowered about 4 inches and I removed the factory wheel wells and made my own that fit the tires. I also had to shave a little bit of the lip off the upper control arms so the tire wouldn't rub it when I had the wheels all the way turned one way or the other. And the front fenders as you can see I radiused to fit the tires. Probably removed about 1 1/2 inches of fender above where it used to be. And towards the bottom of the fender where there was still some of the body lines left on the front and back of the fender I just hammered out straight with a body hammer and dolly. BUT...there is another Hawiian tropic tribute Laguna out there that has the same wheels and tires but didn't have to cut up the front fenders. He just removed the inner wheel wells. But his isn't as low in the front. I'd guess only 2-3 inches.

Oldschool454, have any pictures of the inner fenders you made? I want to put the 315's on the 10's I have up front and run 17x11 with 335's in the rear.

Re: 295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
I can't do it from the computer I'm on at the moment. But you might be able to see them on the youtube videos I have uploaded. Just search "chevy laguna" and you'll see my silver car. Pretty sure I got a shot of the engine compartment. You might be able to see them from that. it's nothing fancy. In fact they were supposed to be temporary just to keep the gravel and whatnot out of the engine bay until I could take the time to make some better ones. But you know how that goes. lol Haven't gotten to that project yet. They're just sheet aluminum. Made them out of cardboard first then used that as a template to cut the aluminum ones.

Re: 295's on 10" NASCAR wheels
I will check that out. I just brought my plasma cutter home today. I am using the cardboard template deal now to make my gauge cluster. After I finish cutting the metal braces for that I will look at the wheel wells. My car won't be lowered but it will have a BBC under the hood so cutting fender wells a little might help with big headers as well. Thanks.
