Thanks. I didn't see the second expanded kit for some reason. Please let us know how they work out. I was thinking of getting the QA 52894 rear sway bar. I'm not sure if it mates with these but think it likely would.

Just get the Impala 9c1 Police taxi package from an Impala 1" and front from like a 74 ish Trans Am and get 1 1/4"

I also believe I just seen a guy get QA1 sway bar and had to get there Bars also for it was a Side mount compared to our Normal of Bottom mount

Yes looking more closely at the QA sway bar pictures I can see that there might be an attachment issue. I already have a 1.25 inch front sway bar. I will look for the Chevy used 1 inch rear bars. What years were the compatible 1 inch sway bars used on GM models?

A little progress is still progress isn't it ? I have to use the original sway bar mount till I get the New trailing arms in so I made a swap deal for old Sway bar for these sway bar mounts that were in perfect condition cleaned up with 80 then then 150 then one coat of rust preventive then three coats of shiny black stuff
Big THANK YOU to Jesse "biggmonte" Vargas Facebook friend for swapping

WELL I have my work CUT OUT for me YES ??? Anyways emptied Rusty out and got my Seats to where I think they need to be, SO with that Kevin Stroh I will be getting in touch for 2 sets of Mounts like we talked about Will need to get the measurements to you.
I can use two of the four factory mounts with one being the main Seat belt hole and welded front corner bolt so will Have Plenty of strength behind it in case of an Accident (God forbid) Seats will be a good start, And daughter changed her mind yet again on Interior color she wants Oxblood like her Dash is, So with that My interior will get Full on Black and Car will Be triple black with the stripes, The family I bought the car from is working on them to replicate them for me, Unknowingly to me before He sent car here he Took a tracing of them and is gonna Have them replicated for me SO THAT MEANS when we get moved into House that may / may not have a garage I believe at winter time 2024, This 1977 Chevelle SE Will be coming off frame after i drive for a year or so. AND ALWAYS IF YOU READ THIS FAR SAY A HELL YEA PLEASE and dont forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel for Updates and Funny shorts I have one there now its Hilarious LMAO thanks for reading my book

Rusty's progress Stripe tracing for a Hopefull completion - Page 7 Empty rear sway bar

Post by 76Chevelle2Tone Wed Apr 26, 2023 1:39 pm

Terribly sorry to hijack your thread over the rear sway bar but, having got the UMI rear control arms you did albeit black, I am looking for the impala rear sway bar as you advised. However I see two different sizes listed for them 1 inch and 1 1/8 inch. Are people just mistaken or were there actually 2 sizes? I have searched repeatedly but can't find definite answer.

No worries buddy
There are two different sizes Yes BUT Impala ONLY was 1" to the best of my knowledge ........there are aftermarket ones I believe that go to 1.5" but thats just overkill in my book

To be clear I'm talking about the used sway bars from the 90s, not aftermarket. Yes I see at least three different sizes in aftermarket but I am only referring to listings of used 90s era chevy sway bars. So I gather from your statement that there may well be stock rear sway bars at 1 1/8 as well as as 1 inch depending on which chevy they were pulled from. To be safe then (1 inch) they Must come from Impala.

Well If I could sleep in it I would but she wont let me LMAO All kidding aside its from my Celluitis in my leg and some the OG guys/gals here know I almost Lost my leg because of it Back in 2018 and she put her foot down when I put a gouge in my leg about 2'long 1" wide.

When you get it as bad as I had it before,  You lose all the elasticity to the skin and if I Breathe on it to hard it breaks open LOL I came into Kitchen and told her I need your Help she immediately replied How bad is it and how many band aids do I need to bring with She seen how bad it actually was and told me to Pull pant leg up to stop the bleeding it was a good deep gouge, Hense the grounding from wrenching till healed up again GOOD WOMAN I HAVE

P.S. PLUS ITS OUT MY FRONT DOOR so never far away
