Limey, did a wire harness swap a while back on a 77 Malibu that I eventually sold. The engine harness donor was a 76 Laguna. Everything plugged in nicely and had only one issue. I could not get the horn to work. Come to find out the harness was pinned differently for the horn from 76 to 77. Popped that pin out and placed it where it would be for a 77 and then worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

Thank you my friend As far as I know the light harness for Monte Carlo and Malibu arent the same So as Long as the engine side gets me to where I need to be I can do the Light side at a later date

WELLLL Â 454 Valve covers FINALLY SOLD took a big hit on them but they paid for the 15x10 wheels and short derby Caps and had $6 bucks left over woo hoo
Cant go outside because of the wildfires from Canada thanks for that EHHH ! anyways 8 days now stuck in house except picking up daughter from work Tuesday other than that I have been isolated in house Anyways the dream of Having 15x10 15x8 with short derby caps (NON ORIGINAL's) is finally here (yes I am keeping the Turbines but getting them restored over winter)

THEY HAVE ARRIVED damaged but arrived little nicks around the whole face of Wheel oh well 70 dollar e gift card later I will be mounting the tires soon I guess (they couldn't get the replacements to me before next weekend so just took the gift card)

Just like posting updates MAYBE JUST MAYBE tomorrow Can start the wiring aspect of the 454 supposed to be not as hot .... BUT AS FOR NOW I FINALLY Have my wheel set up I have been chasing for a very long time...... NO THE TIRES ON THE REAR ARE NOT staying till I get new when running no sense buy new ones and let sit while finishing up details, But any who
15x10 rear (255/60r15 that fell into my lap today) and front 15x8 235/60r15 (will be switching to 255/60r15 when I upgrade the rears) and the Vision wheel short derby caps Man now have to repaint the fronts they look like hell from trim rings WHICH I WILL NOT BE RUNNING anyways y'all thanks for reading

Rut roh Man, Â Wiring and plugs for most part done NEXT is engine harness Had to take break with no shade can only do so much, Wiring harness is next on agenda Gonna take a earlier start tomorrow since wifey doesn't work and put up my shade ten I should have done that today Oh well One more item out of the way

Well went out between the rain showers and tornado watch's Power steering Pump has the right brackets now THNAK YOU Cameron @ICTBILLET Â was missing two bolts and a spacer they sent new Kit BUT SBC one LOL Called them they OVERNIGHTED the right brackets with a Label to send SBC set back to them at there cost RADIATOR HOSE'S ARE TEST FITTED ONLY FOR LENGTH that way can take to parts store and match it up

I need to have it done by Middle september at the latest to make the Invite for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals invite I had gotten for the 73-77 Spotlight this year Including the 1 of 1 Baldwin Motion 73 SS Chevelle they want them to be Side by Side Kind the Best of the First year 73 and a Special Last year 77

WELLL WELL Got off the injured reserve list again LOL had leg injury on my bad leg yet again, LOL Anywho Well got Ungrounded finally sort of LOL
Took all the accessories and water pump off to give the 454 a nice look after installation of it. Being sick and injured I am happy to be able to work on it yet again LOOKS 1000% better I think I HAVE THE RiGHT Length and fit for top hose Bottom still working on it.
1st and 2nd Picture was Before rest are after, Transmission install will hopefully be today or tomorrow

Well this morning turnt out great I finally have the correct length belts anyone else doing this 454 these are the belts you need for N0 A/C on car, now Rain is moving in and it looks like I will never get this stupid transmission in Arrrgggg
EDIT: FUEL PUMP IS IN, Â NOW OUTTA PARTS AGAIN dodged the Rain and have the Pump back to the tank first time since 1984 when they yanked the blown up 305

Heater hoses, fuel pump fitting (to allow fuel line run) Fuel filter, Negative Ground and Battery cable hooked up.... Gotta Find a pipe plug for Intake decide to stay in the stock location for heater hose's  Next project who knows Just keep plugging away

Added the other 10" drive side Rally wheel tire and the two drive side Short Caps and dam .......
Well Looks like I am adding drop the 1" drop springs to front unless it settles more with transmission, exhaust and driveshaft in there I do not like the high front end and that is with the 454 Installed.

Did you consider the weight of the A.I.R. system, weight of water in cooling system, and the AC compressor, condenser, hoses, etc.?

No I am not running them, the car sat like this even with the 305 and the garb on it rear sat even lower till I added new springs and this is how it ended Up, It's almost like they put new springs in it before I got it, I am not sure about that though I know it's too high in front.

That is about the meanest looking G3 Chevelle I've seen. What is the story about the grille? The first pictures showed a 77 grille but then showed what looks like a 75 grille. I didn't see an explanation but may have missed it.

It came from a Member here and was the same as My Original Black SE had back when the previous Owner before me Had it and I loved the look and when I was offered this one I DIDN'T hesitate one second
Previous owner circa 1988 before storing till 2012 When I purchased it
