Got it!
Woohoo ... I received my FIRST CHOICE for my "winter warrior" (1979 Caprice Classic) license plates:
WINTR 79
I enjoy driving the Caprice [I still wish I had a coupe instead of a sedan] and hope to take it on a "mini" road trip soon:

12/26/09 SNOW STORM:

Now, my interest in obtaining a 1975 Caprice Classic convertible has increased a bit....

The other car I still want "someday" is a Monte Carlo SS. Although ... I am thinking that maybe I should switch to a Caprice collection instead of the Monte Carlo family......

Re: Got it!
Cort, I wish you could get the car a neighbor has. She is 90 years old and has Alzheimers and she lives by her self. Her son comes by every couple of days to check on her, but a lot can happen in 10 minutes time, much less a couple of days. Us neighbors try to keep an eye on her, but in the winter time that is difficult. She has a 1984 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop that looks like it just came out of the factory. Her son hid the car keys from her. She used to treat that car like it was a kid and took it to a mechanic every time she heard a little noise, real or imagined. JB

Re: Got it!
Yeh, but he would have to drive it in reverse all the time, the drive wheels are on the wrong end of the car! JB

Re: Got it!
Back in 83/84 a friend of mine had a 54 belair,64 impala,75 caprice,and a new 84 chevette. I lost contact with him,after i started dating his X girlfriend.
His caprice looked just like your dream car,but was green with white top and guts.
