HI
Im new here, but have known about this site for awhile now. I have owned this car for 13 years and have finally got to the point that I can drive it. Here is a picture of me with my baby. Its a factory bucket seat car with a 400ci motor and a 350 trans, its riding on 15x8 rallies with 275-60-15 BFGoodrich tires. The car might look a little familiar, thats because a friend of mine was thrilled more about my car than I was Razz .His car is in the background.

my name is chris also,we seem to think that is why we are such good friends for the past 15 years. we found the ww-trim a couple of weeks ago for 100 dollars. the 4 pieces were almost like new,one had a dink.

Welcome, Chris! Congrats on getting your Monte on the road again. It is a beautiful example of one of the best cars ever produced! Not only do I like the color combination, but I love how those pinstripes follow the fender lines. I had the same pinstripes on my first Monte.

thanx guys and gals.
i have been friends with the other chris for 15 years, and he found me this monte.he has always told me he would be here for me if and when i got it togther. he did not back out,and held my hand the whole way. Wink
when i first bought the monte,i wanted it all white. but when i saw the color on the 50th anniversary vette,i knew i had to have it that color. i also wanted the peanut butter interior and the landau top. but when chris and i found another 73 that was hit in the front,it had maroon bucket seat interior,so i used it instead. i love the way it looks and get compliments all the time. now mind you,i have never been a car show guy. but i love them now and sometimes have to pull chris by his collar to get him to go.
we almost lost one of them today to a guy in detroit. we put them on c-l and he was going to come here and buy one. he never called,so we desided that they are now not for sale. Thumbs up as we were sitting at a car show today,we saw a can am. i never knew those cars were one year only. heres pictures. Smile

chris has tried to get me to join different sites, but he always took pictures and told people about the monte. to be truthful,if it was not for chris taking pics,i would not have any at all. but next to his kids, his passion is the monte carlo. Very Happy so i knew i was in good hands.

i bought the car 13 years ago and was very solid. the previous owner took off the top (full) when he bought it. i always liked the landau look and after we found the a-pillar trim and chris gave me the landau trim, off to the top guy it went Very Happy .

I like the fat tires and wheels, but I like the slightly lower stance. If I could get the nose down like an inch I'd be happy. I'm hoping after some new stock spec springs and shocks, it'll sit better. The suspension is a whole another restoration for me. Mine isnt shot, but it needs attention to be up to par with the rest of the car.

I like the maroon interior better, the colors matching interior and exterior is definitely a thing that fits the era of the car.

It definitely has a tough stance. A car like that, the old school look is always a good one.

You are welcome!

I kinda like it with the maroon interior, too. Though, admittedly, I'm partial to the tan Wink. lol
