hey guys how many 74 laguna 454 / 4spd cars where made ? i seen on here 16,0098 454 chevelles where built 984 where 4spd cars but how many laguna 454 / 4spd where made any body got the real answer ? i have one of those bad boys i hear some thing different every time i ask some one any body wanna put there expertise in --------- thanks tom

Well, considering the Laguna is the luxedry model, I suspect not too many had 4 speeds. I'd say you have a real gem there. JB

All info I have from all the GM stuff I have gathered from my Laguna build is that there were only 85 1974 454 4 speed Laguna's made and most of that is documented by GM data

Look at info on your car to where it was made at and if it was in the canadian system it will be very documented ............GM of America not so much

that 800-222-1020 is not a good # for old cars any more its alll about new stuff

I will dig mine out for my 74 and get the number I remember that being true as well and I wrote down the right number give me a few days to dig it out

hey limey i finally got the right # to gm its now 800-462-5543 but they only have records starting as of 1977 chris form gm is going to call me back {i hope} he is researching my car ! it is a rare bird very few made but i think iam going to drop my gas tank today may be there will be a build sheet there that wont tell me how many where made but sure will look nice next to the old car thanks limey for your attention when i get some info ill post it here so may be the next guy will have some thing to go by id like some thing in writing about # made thats my goal here hope gm gets back with some thing i can copy and post

well here what Jim Vehko sent me from GM Heritage center [img][/img] on laguna,s made in the USA he says there's really no way to know since Chevrolet didn't keep very good records back then as of 1977 they started keeping better records so if you guys need a history report you can get one from this site www.gmmediaarchive.com or call 800-462-5543 ext.163 and for $50.00 bucks they will send you a load of info doesn't help me out but i hope it works for you guys wanting to know some history on your cars
