side marker light problem.
hey guys my passengers side rear sidemarker light isnt working. i got new bulbs for it and it didnt fix the problem. it seems like its goint to be a pain in the but to trace the wire back.

begining to sound like you have gremlins in that CRUK if you find very many more probs with wiring I would think about replacing it since your in the build process anyways .............

Have you tried scrubbing the inside of the light socket with steel wool? JB

@limey: yeah i know there is many more gremlins like my horn wiring.
@jb: no but i will try that tomorrow thanks. maybe the socket is bad i think ill try to take one off the malibu and put it on the el camino

The lighting problems I've had have always been because of a bad ground.

Did you use a multimeter to see if you even have voltage at the wires? Before replacing sockets, you should use the meter. If you don't have one, buy a cheapo from Radio Shack. Those couple bucks will save you tons of time and money in the long run.

same because its worked before and i havent even messed with it. and the bulb is perfect just bought new bulbs for it just in case and nothing happened.

changed the socket. redid the ground. and still nothing. any other ideas? its only one light that isnt working what the hell

By the sounds of it you better get one of them multimeters to track down probs before you spend more money than nessecary ............

yeah true i will get one tomorrow. i havent spent any money on anything yet tho, i just used the socket from the malibu. i guess ill see if i can track it down tomorrow i would like to track down the temp light problem too but theres no wires to the back of the light so i dont know what one goes to it.
