Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
I like it. Get some new bumper covers, detail it, and it'd be a nice little runner. I'd kill for an early Taurus SHO. I'd rather have a early SHO than a new 2010.

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
I aint putting any money into it except the brakes and stuff to get it running I will reattach the bumpers that are there and fill the empty spots with plastic I have around here.
And by getting this car I think Limey Duece has took a turn for a true Drag car

The SHO had a 3.0...not a 3.8...

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
Nope...95 had the 3.0 & 3.2 Yamaha 24 Valve DOHC.
3.0 came in the manual, 3.2 came with an automatic.

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
I've had a couple of Taurii. Not bad cars to be honest. The 2001 that I just sold had quite a bit of mods & was really quick. Both of mine had the Duratec motors though.
<<< That's for getting a DD so you can turn Limey into a drag car. Congrats buddy.

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
I like the body style of the generation of the 2001.
That would have been sharp as hell if it was offered as a SHO.
Conan O'Brien has a 1992 SHO.

Mine had more than the 235hp of a SHO though. A lot of mods went into it & a lot of Z28 & Fox Body guys made quick turn-offs at the next stoplight.

Yeah that was my initial reaction the first time I went up against some backwards cap wearing doosh in a five O.

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
I know. Sorry man. Lol.
I have to say though, yours is a bit of an exception for me. The ones I hate are the heavily modified ones. Especially around here, everywhere you turn you seen a modified Fox body Mustang. I appreciate seeing a stock one, like yours. Still trying to sell it?

what the hell is that suppose to mean Kyle ???
and no I didn't get offended just stating that we already established it was not a SHO motor from previous post's
could really care less anyway Its only a POS DD so I could care less what motor is in it as long as it gets me to point b from point a

It was just a razz.
Ya know, that thing that everyone used to do to me, and I would get pissy and tell everyone off?

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
All DDs are supposed to be . At least most of mine have been. As long as it saves gas so you can burn more at the track with Limey II that's all that matters. Oh & heat for those cold Northern winters would be important right?

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
DD's don't have to be. Mine was a POS when I got it, but with MANY MANY junkyard trips, and a lot of work, I turned it into a pretty damn nice little runner.
Well, it's nice to me...to you, it's a POS no matter what, because it's front wheel drive.

Right I know Kyle they dont have to be POS for a DD but why make many many trips to the yard when that coin can go into Limey Duece and you know as well as I do the winters around here dictate to have a 4x 4 or front drive car and this one runs prety dam good right now, I just put a tune up kit that was included with the car when i got it and will do a trans flush and a oil change for it sat for over 2 years but body wise she is gonna rock what she is wearing

Re: New to me 1995 Taurus SE
Well, in your case it is a bit different than mine. I don't have a project car that I have to put money towards. I just maintain my Monte Carlo and my Plymouth. So, I don't put much money towards them. So, my '98 Monte Carlo kind of became my "project car". And I get parts so dirt cheap from my local salvage yard, that it was affordable for me to do. If I had a project classic, my DD would most likely take a back seat for a while.
Oh, and the FWD jab was to Rago
These winters are virtually impossible without FWD or AWD. My cousin has an 88 Town Car with a 5.0, and he told me one time last winter, it took him a half hour to get out of the parking lot of his apartment complex, and it was a VERY SMALL parking lot. And almost hit a dumpster, lol.
I just got new tires for my 98 Monte, Dunlop Signature, and they have premium snow traction, so we'll see I guess
