Life's script
"They say" everything in life happens for a reason. Sometimes, I wonder.... Ever experienced one of those events where, had you went with the "other" choice, the resulting "situation" would NEVER have happened?
I experienced another one of those Thursday, January 29. En route home, I debated whether or not to get gas in my '87 MC LS. I decided to stop for gas. Wish I hadn't. Getting gas that evening resulted in the '87 MC LS getting damage on the driver's side of the front bumper ... complete with paint coming off and a crack in the bumper ... ~$900 estimated repairs. Ugh. On the flipside, I suppose had I not stopped, I might've been involved in a traffic collision. I'll, of course, never know.
That reminded me of April 2003 ... first time I had the older 4 MCs out that year. I decided to take the '81 MC SC for a bit longer drive. That "extended drive" found me on a road on which the speed limit had just recently been lowered. I forgot ... and promptly received a ticket. Had I not decided to drive the '81 MC SC a bit longer that late afternoon, I never would've gotten that ticket.
But, what about those "fork in the road" decisions that lead to something good? I've had just as many of these as I've experienced otherwise, but for whatever reason, they don't come to mind as easily.
*shrugs*
How about you?

Re: Life's script
I am as old as dirt and I have seen many many such incidents. Right this minute I am suffering mental and physical anguish because of a decision I made while my power was out this past week. I decided to use a kerosene heater in my basement to keep my water pipes from freezing. Something happened to the heater and my whole house is full of black greasy soot, even in the closed kitchen cabinets and closed drawers full of clothes. JB

Ugh ... that sounds highly unpleasant, JB. Things looking better now, hopefully?

Re: Life's script
Its a long slow process. I have the major traffic patterns cleaned up some. Got to get all the upholstered furniture and draperies cleaned. The only carpet was on my basement steps and I have them wrapped in old towels until I get ALL the floors clean and then I will have them cleaned. Oh well. Re: Life's script
I had company several days ago and was talking about all the work to be done and my friend said "I can see here on this wall where it looks streaked, when are you going to wash this"? I calmly replied "I already did, I was just tired and need to do it over again". I have about 2,500 or more compact discs I need to wash off. I just work a little at a time. JB
