ok so this is supposed to be the biggest american car meeting in the WORLD! me and 3 other buddies are attending it with a 49 oldsmobile rocket 88 rat rod. ill try to keep you updated with photos and stuff so you can see how does american car scene look like on this side of the great puddle. we are leaving on june 8th, car will be shipped to the north of the germany where we will pick it up and drive the rest of the way (still more than 500 miles in one direction. the main reason for this is that the car has a lot of surface rust and german police is very strict about that. if it wasnt for them, we would drive the whole way.

some 13 000 cars are expected and it lasts for a week. its not a typical car show, its more of a rock n roll party. general rule for the cars is the uglier the better!

so here is our ride, olds rocket 88, olsmobile rocket 5l v8, 4 spd hydra matic transmission, imported from a junkyard somewhere in the midwest. sat there since 1990, brought it over here, charged the battery and it fired right up. tranny was burnt and it needed a rebuild. car is kept in a dry storage so the rust doesnt spread, but it will remain as is. it has an air ride, straight exhaust with 8 square tips (it was meant as a joke but looked good so it stayed on). we installed a 53 4bbl intake and edelbrock 500cfm carb on it the other day. did 95mph and it still had some juice left in it. everything on this car is built to last forever, we wanted to rebuild the generator but it turned out it was like new.
