My wife threatens me with death for just touching doorknobs with greasy hands...For that one, I would die ugly.

Interesting picture, but why did he have to dry his bearings ? never heard of that, unless all the engines I have built since the 50s were not done right 'cause I didn't "dry" the bearings

This guy was rebuilding a Porsche 914 engine....the amount of time & presumably money he spent....he probably could have bought a vintage slant nose 911!

Wow.
It's a 25 page web site on the assembly of 113hp...
I am not sure there are any speed secrets there.

LOL..All that work for a 73 914....w/ a dreaded....113 HP. But to each his own and I applaud all the work and thought that went into it. I'm kinda speechless.

After re-coning speakers, my husband will put them in the oven on a low temp so it dries quicker. The only time I said anything was when forgot and he left it in there overnight with the oven on.

You're good! I'd be in the basement of the doghouse. That sounds "no hazardous" though. If anything had to chemically cure, I'd be worried they'd stay in there & get in the food. Even w/ the oven on self cleaning mode, some of these paints are built to withstand 1400-2500 degrees. Of course, you could always put a new 220 V in the workshop and just buy a new stove for the kitchen. That way everyone's happy.

He was just drying the glue at a slow temperature, no big deal.
