"Another year comes to a close" __ Sylvia __ 'Reflections'

The miserable winter last year. The first summer without our Saturday cruise nights which we had for many years. But on a better note I will be an uncle again soon for the first time on my side of the family-cant wait !

I lost a couple lifetime friends this past year. When we get old (80) the friends get to be few. It comes with the territory. I have only one really old friend left. Lots of more recent ( past 35 or so years) friends though, mostly in aviation circles.

2011 was a nice year for me, nothing extreme happened except I found out about you here on G3GM, thanks for that !

I'm glad for everything. All in all 2011 was good for us & I hope 2012 is at least as good. It's nice also to have some connections here on the forum, great to have things in common with other folks who love theses cars & are willing to help others out with their projects. Nice to also note that members here are family oriented people who have morals, and are passing them down to their kids and other young people, gives me hope for the future. Thanks everyone for your help/suggestions/comments & fellowship.

Working in cars & airplanes is what keeps me in shape ! Maybe it's a good thing that I get bored if I don't have enough projects. Still plugging away on the Elco project......
One thing I had to do in 2011 was remove the transfer case & transmission in my S-10. Loaned it to one of my sons, who managed to break a shifting fork in the trans. Not really a bad job, and I did get the chance to replace all the seals etc and the clutch slave cylinder.
