The truth is, the Caddy Fleetwood Brougham RWD is a slightly over-dressed Buick Road Master. Same basic body, same running gear etc as the Buick, and the Chevy Caprice.

Our Caddy was getting quite rusty underneath, and I had fixed a couple of the floors in it a year ago. I did replace some parts on it though, like rear air-leveling shocks, a few steering parts etc, as the miles piled up on it. It has just under 175 K miles on it, so getting the Buick with 85 K is an accidental step in the right direction. It truly was a good car for us for 9 years, and I paid 7 grand cash for it in 2003. And the engine, which is a 5.7 Chevy, always ran great, and had plenty of power. If I find which salvage yard has it, getting the engine for a good price wouldn't be a bad idea. (as if I needed another project Rolling Eyes )
