will taillights from a 72 work on a 73,haven't had a 72 around to see if they would?

No they wont. Different size and mounting.

75 had diff Panel as well, ( they had more of a slant than the 76-77's ) as well as lights and corner pieces

Albeit very subtle it would look goofy with 76-77 light but the 75 Tails can be used with the later 76-77 just will have a funny curve at the top and also has a Bowtie from factory in center of red part of tails
