I might be having a flashback here but didn't someone post the pic of the magazine article fairly recently too?

Quite possible. I'm sure I'm not the first to come across it. I know I've never seen it. Was definitely to cool not to post.

Way too cool not to post it! I did find the other post also if you want to check out the pic. Same as the one in the article but shows the magazine cover it was in originally.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
Ok, I can't for the life of me post a sucessful link, but on you tube if you punch in big city automotive one of the first things that comes up is a 77 Monte Carlo done up '80's Monte carlo style. Very slick. I don't know the man but people I know do, and I've been told the rear trunk spoiler on a 80's g body Monte Carlo fits a '77 like it was made for it.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
I tried that on my work computer but when previewed it said no such video exists? At home all I really have access to is my droid phone and my I pod. Best I can tell there is no copy and paste on these devices. Also thank you bicknelwelding for posting that link for me.77mali wrote:Just copy the web address from your browser & paste it to the text box here & send like you would any other post.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
OK...That 77 Monte is pretty cool...Na'm sayin? LOL
The rear spoiler from the G body SS fit pretty darn good. Aside from the self-brandishing stuff...I like it. Whoever shot his car through the RR qtr is lucky they didn't get the gas tank and blow their own @$$ up. Cleveland is a tough town.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
I have been told that car is now packing a 454. I have always hated the stance on that car...drop it like 3 inches all around and call it good. And if you've never been to Cleveland, trust me your not missing anything. (although the rock and roll hall of fame is kind of cool)

Re: 76 century "grand national"
I was there when they had the Springsteen exhibit a few years back, stopped there on the way to Sandusky, OH. It's got it's good & bad just like any other big city these days I suppose.

So you must have went to ceder point? That's the only reason I know of (unless you know people) to go to Sandusky.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
I grew up in a very multicultural city I'm used to seeing all that "customizing" LOL- back in high school we pretty much kept things stock, mostly because we didn't know what the heck we were doing. The kids that were enrolled in the vocational automotive trades all had hot rods & that 77 Monte reminds me of what they were doing back then in the late 80's. I can dig a little "flavor", ya know? But not too much.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
Come on its not that bad, at least its not sporting 26" rims (at least in these videos, there is a video where it is) and its not full of tv's, gaming consoles and what ever other stupid
urban people put in their cars.

Re: 76 century "grand national"
I think its awesome. Maybe a little overboard on the size of the monte carlo 77 lettering. I did see the video of it with the 454 and huge wheels. Still a pretty clean ride, and not to "getto'd" out. Nam sayin?

Re: 76 century "grand national"
Heres that monte with the wheels, doing donuts. Not a fan of the wheels, but i do like seeing it driven. Sounds pretty healthy too.

He owns the shop (big city automotive). I think i looks cool, just lower it a bit. And loose the big wheels for good.

Re: 76 century "grand national"

Re: 76 century "grand national"
Hey, weren't we talkin' Buick? C'mon Anthony- you know you love it!
I searched Big City Motorsports on the net- he's got a small Facebook page for his shop with some pics. I credit the guy- he's showing entrepreneurial spirit & certainly knows his market/clients (never mind he likes G3's). Looks like he can build an engine & good powertrain too. Good for him. Nice burnouts in that last link even w/ the big rims. I hate them big wheels too but different strokes for different folks .
