i need help again!
im having problems with my car. it wont start
ive narrowed it down to either ignition module or pick up coil.
what happened is that it was running great went to start it up 6 or 7 hours later and it turns over but doesnt get any spark. for a while now it has been giving me problems starting up when its cold or the weather changes from hot to cold when theres a lot of moisture. all i had to do when that happened was puul a plug out and it would fire right up. let it run for about 30 seconds hop out put the plug back in and it ran great. now i cant get it to start at all. i noticed that when it has this problem that the spark was weak to the plug on initial cranking. any ideas and help would be of great help. i dont have an ohm or volt meter because if i did i'd be ordering parts already.

Something to look at as well is the distributor rotor. The factory ones were notorious for failure, although by now it should have been changed out anyways. I recall someone once calling them the "dreaded black bugs".

i put an msd coil cap and rotor on it already borrowed an ohm meter and found out my pick up coil is shot. go figure

just step to the Better mallory ignition the high voltage type and never have a prob again
