Looks great. I need to get some shorty headers or something as mine keep scraping the ground. It's not even lowered yet!

At this point, keep checking in, make sure its getting done, but dont rush the guy too much or it will affect the quality of the job. I cant wait to see it with some color!

Re: i think its ready to cruise now
You should hit the owner of that monte and find out his combo. Same cam can sound pretty different depending on exhaust size, crossover pipe or not, header type, even compression ratio. Just a thought.

that is my car joe. the exhaust is the same, the cam will be the same, the only difference is that motor was standard bore, the new motor will be 30 over. so i should have the same sound im hoping.Joe73 wrote:You should hit the owner of that monte and find out his combo. Re: i think its ready to cruise now
The 275-60s are perfect! running the same on my Guna. But was thinking about 295s.......concerns?

Re: i think its ready to cruise now
BF Goodrich stopped making the 295 60 15 radial ta..they were a little too tall for me anyway..I think 275 60 15 is the way to go. As far as other sizes go 295 50 15 looks too short..295 65 15 is a little too tall.. I like 275 60 best. Good score on the tires..better than the 350 bucks a pair i usually pay for a pair bf goodrich tires..I think they look the best.

the front springs had to settle back down.its either been on the lift or jack stands.

Awesome car. Love the Monte Carlow script on the arm too. Never saw that done before!

Re: i think its ready to cruise now
Thats one awesome monte. Love the color too.
Did you install longer shocks so the suspension doesnt top out? My chevelle is (was) like that in my avatar and only had less than 2 inches of travel length in the rear. I love that stance but it wasnt that fun on bumps or dips.
Also, looks like an aftermarket brake booster. Any idea what brand or rebuilder?? Thanks

Re: i think its ready to cruise now
Simply awesome! Your color car brings back a lot of memories of my college roomate and I cruisin' around in his brand spanking new '73 Monte that looked just like this. Was so envious that his parents bought him that car and I was slumming around in a '64 Galaxie 500...although that Galaxie was no slouch with a 390-4bbl. in it.
