We have 999 registered users right now. I say this place is growing, now if we could just get over half of these registered members to post regularly this place would be crazy.
I never thought this place would grow like this but since the 73-77 cars are becoming so popular its inevitable. I plan for G3GM to stick around more many more years to come and provide a hang out place for everyone with 73-77 GM cars.

I'm a member over at StevesNovaSite.com as well, with my off topic vehicle, and the one thing I can say for that site is that there is a ton of tech topics and tech questions, seems like most of the time I type in something on google for a car question even if its not for my Nova. Stevesnovasite comes up after the search engine with something related. It would be great if G3GM had this happen as well, folks stopping by just to read a good tech article about a small block or a ten bolt build, and such.

Glad to see it growing and the popularity of our cars as well. Hopefully that means we will be seeing more parts available.

Oh and just cuz I thought of it, how and when do I get a new star?

The stars are a post type of thing the more you post the more stars you get so get posting brother I do not wanna see you step away from the PC till I see 6000 or more posts LMAO

Alright to inform all about the stars
The stars tell how much you are involved in the forum.
Management Is 5 stars no matter number of posts

When you join you will not have a star and will be labeled as a newbie
When you reach 20 posts you will be labeled as a Member and recieve a star

So heres the number of stars verses Posts

It also appears to override any of that when you donate -- you automatically get a bunch of stars and it just says 'donating member'. And out of curiosity, what do the different colored stars mean?

Something occurred to me -- whenever I go to a cruise, I inevitably come back to the car to find a bunch of flyers stuffed in my car about other cruises and such.

What if we had a flyer or card that we could distribute when we see another G3 at a cruise, even if the owner isn't around? Doesn't have to be anything pre-printed like a sticker -- just a Word doc or PDF with some official G3 design -- I can print a bunch up before I hit the cruise and drop them in any G3's I run across.

Any thoughts?

I write it down on the back of my business cards if they are not there. Company pays for them anyway.

Hi my name is Mike and I first got hooked on the 1973 Chevelle Laguna because my family butchered 2 of them into circle track cars, so I would cheer for a 73 Chevelle every Saturday night for years as a little kid.... so now I have to resist the urge to build this one into a one on one car for Slinger Super Speedway............

At least go in that direction! Strip it, cage it, motor it, letter it, and hammer on it!!!! And yellow letter goodyears on Basset 15" D hole's would be sweet too.

my name is Chris,and im a MoNtEholic. since 1984 i have had twenty three 73-77 montes including one 74 chevelle. i blame it all on my father and his brother.they worked on these when they were new,and kept alot of stuff.guess it runs in the blood.

hi my name is john, and i got hooked on g3's as as kid going to the races....case in point, heres a video from 1987.

i always thought they looked cool as race cars and wanted one as a hot rod street car. plus my dads first new car was a 1973 chevelle.

Hi, My name is Daniel. My father owned a 1974 chevelle as a daily driver while I was growing up. He taught me how to drive in that car, then gave it to my sister. He remembered how much I loved that car, he bought me a 1974 chevelle for my 16 birthday, I still own it, and 2 El Caminos. A 1973 and 1976 GMC Sprint.

Hit to pass!! Crash and bash!! that video was awesome. Yah I guess keeping em nice and restoring them is probly for the best, but dang race cars are great. theres nothing like getting the green flag into turn one. But we're not talking about all steel unrestored original 32 ford coupes here. These cars are race cars IMHO, just so happens they have cush interiors and heavy ac components.
