Hello All,
I am a long time G3 GM enthusiast, having purchased my first one in 1985. It was a Blue with White Stripe and White Interior 1976 Laguna S3. I set my avatar as the picture I took of it the day I bought it in 1985. I sold it a few years later to my brother. After many years of winter use in the snowy, salty north the Laguna was quite rusty, and it was parted out in the early 90's. We have accumulated a good stash of parts over the years, and I just recently purchased a beautiful low mile 1977 malibu to tinker on with my son. Current plans include Corvette Rally wheels, BFG TA tires, and some sway bars. Long term a Laguna clone/tribute is the goal. We are looking forward to acquiring a few more parts, and making a few new acquaintances here on the G3GM forum.
Nice to meet you all.
Curt and his son Trace.

Welcome...nice to have you on our site! Sounds like a great father/son bonding experience in store for both of you! I, too, had a '76 Laguna that, for a brief period, thought could be saved from the rust. But, another Laguna ('75 AZ car) came my way and the decision was made to part out the '76 and restore the '75. I saw where you were asking about swivel buckets and a nose. If you're anywhere near MN and still interested, I've got both from the '76.

Welcome
Welcome - cars are great things to do with kids. We (my boys and I) built the 355SBC our Malibu last year. Lots of fun, memories and a great save by Jesse, telling me I'd forgotten to rotate the piston rings so they weren't all alligned on one piston.
Enjoy it.
Enjoy it.

Re: New G3GM member
Thanks everyone for the friendly greetings. We have already made some contacts through this forum for some of our desired parts, Laguna Nose and Swivel Bucket seats. Hope to acquire some soon.
We have only owned our 1977 Malibu a few months, but so far I am really pleased with it's condition. It was from southern Indiana, has roughly 45,600 miles and was owned by the original owners for 33 years. They must have only used it sparingly, because it is extremely clean and rust free, which is rare here in the rust belt of Northern Ohio.
I will update as things progress.
Thanks again,
Curt and Son Trace.

Re: New G3GM member
Mentor is a nice place, a few of my relatives live there. Mentor's location on the lake is very scenic, beautiful in the summer, snowy in the winter.
I'm in the far northwest corner of Ohio in the small city of Bryan. Our scenic view is of flat farm fields full of corn or soybeans. We are about 1 hour west of Toledo, 2 hours west of Sandusky. So probably 3 to 4 hours west of your location.
