Hal needham the director of such movies as smokey and the bandit 1 & 2 (luckily not part 3) cannonball run and hooper died yesterday.  He just recently did a interview with either car craft or hot rod (I don't remember which)  He was responsible for some of my favorite childhood movies.Sad  rest in piece.
