I heard about 65 tornado's touched down your way. Hopefully you guys made it through unscathed.

I drove from parents house in Eastern Iowa back to Indianapolis today. I drove I-74 the whole way until I-65 in IN. I was dodging tornadoes and fighting crazy winds and rain the whole way. I ran into hail in Peoria, pulled over and then kept going little did I know a tornado was some where around me. Got to Bloomington and the same thing happened there and then in Champagne and then in Danville IL. I got off to get gas in Indiana twice but the stations didn't have power, not fun when you only have 30 miles till empty. I got on I-65 in Lebanon IN 20 mins after a tornado hit there, traffic was backed up due to a semi being blown over and around.
I saw four large information signs blown over, 3 digital road construction signs blown down in the road, countless orange road construction barrels blown all around having to weave around them, 2 semis blown over, and a mustang in a ditch on my drive.
Needless to say, it was one of the craziest drives I've ever had. And this was all in a rented Chevy Spark, its so small it cut through the wind like a knife!

Storms split to the north and south of me here in Indianapolis. Thought and prayers are with all the family's that were not as lucky as I was.

Same thing happened here, it happens quite often. I guess it's because of all the concrete heating up in the cities. I had a tornado go directly over my head in 1974, I was at the bottom of a ravine working inside a school. JB
