But, the sun was shining so I went out for a ride. She recently got new tires and moved up to 15x8 rallys.

Topped her off with some Ethanol free 91 octane and snapped some pics.

Stop using that 4 letter word!

Car looks sweet. Where'd you get ethanol free gas, a small airport?

There's an airport near me (40 miles) that sells 91 Ethanol free but you have to put the gas in containers & you're not allowed to pump directly into your car.

I'd like to have one near me like that Ray Energy. I'm REALLY surprised that in NY of all places this is avail at the pumps.

I keep 100 octane avgas in my Malibu, since I only drive it around the airport.  I hasn't been on the road for three years.  I haven't insured it for collision yet....
Avgas is also good for storing the lawn tractor etc during winter, to eliminate any problems from ethanol.  It's expensive, but just a couple gallons is enough for lawn mowers, generators etc for storage.

Your car looks really nice by the way !Very Happy

Thanks for all the compliments. Pictures seem to enhance the color a bit.

I'm liking my new stance too, went with a Mickey Thompson Radial ST -  275/60/15 rear tire and 255/60/15 front. They really fill out the wheel wells. After the holidays, I'm going to start shopping for sway bars to flatten this beast thru the corners happy bowtie

The stock front sway bar is 7/8 inches on all the G3s I've owned.  I think going to a larger bar up front would be a step you could feel.  Folks who add a rear bar say it makes a big difference.

Looks like you folks in the Atlantic seaboard are gonna get hammered by that storm that's coming. Hope you are careful ......

When we lived in Mesa AZ there was a little airport on the west side that I used to visit every Friday night on my way to Manzannita Speedway(local dirtrack) that avgas gave me the edge. Only problem is the 1 foot of blue flame out the headers. affraid

Find a caprice / impala and grab the rear bar and arms from a junkyard, should be pretty cheap.  Mine was $40.00 from a yard that listed on eBay.  It is a one inch diameter, my front bar was from a '73 Monte Carlo that had some sort of handling package as it to is one inch.  The car can take a corner pretty damn good cheers

Mine is a lot better as well with the updated suspension. I still have a little slack in the tiller though. Maybe a newer gearbox might help.

The rear bar, Chevelle, I tried to use on the '75 Elco didn't work well with the 9-inch Ford rear end, it seemed to hang down too far, and touched the rear end housing. Maybe a different G3 bar would fit better. I'll have to look into that later....

Looking at these sway bars from Spohn Performance:

http://www.spohn.net/shop/1973-1977-GM-A-Body/Suspension/Sway-Bars-Accessories/
Front Sway Bar - Solid 1-5/16" 4140 Chrome Moly
Rear Sway Bar - Solid 1.5" 4140 Chrome Moly

These are some large bars, but since my spring rates aren't very stiff they should work well. I already installed their boxed lower control arms, very nice quality.

Also, Ghost Rider I don't see a problem shooting a 1 foot flame from the headers, it just shows the car has some character Thumbs up

Those do look nice BK-75. Just wondering if it makes a difference whether or not the bar is solid or tubular.

I think the main difference is weight.

IC. The ones that I have been looking at were around a 100 each but I am not sure if there were an inch or not. found that I do have one on the front. I just put all new bushings on there. Need a rear one though.
