Yeah I know I have cragars..the wrong motor..not exactly the right green color either..lol...just sayin i like how montes look stock..they are classics. If you don't have the vinyl top on it would look good in that orange color for sure.

I could do a rendition of it for you with a few different colors and stripes. I would do it for free, but the wife thinks I take too much time away from the family working on them. I love it and would do it all day and sometimes it takes hours to do one. I see why she says that, but I still enjoy it and like to help out. Ill do it for 5$ if you want it. Just post a pic or PM and I'll get back to you.

Thank you all for your input -- it's been pretty unanimous (even by people who have seen it in person) that the orange is better, so that's what we'll be going with.

Driveit: I greatly appreciate the offer, and I would take you up on it if I didn't already have the web person at my office working on exactly that. I may still if she doesn't come up with anything. Smile

Chris: I don't suppose you have any other angles on that Chevelle?

The Orange/Buckskin color combo on the top Monte is amazing! Looks like it may have the hood ornament...making it a '77.

No stripes. the body line of a Monte dont do well with them, try maybe a pinstripe some where.

I'll take your word for that. That combo would look pretty cool on your Guna too or my Chevelle. Laughing

My 'Guna originally came with that color interior. Unfortunately, the numb-nut who I bought it from sprayed everything (including the headliner) black and did a terrible job. Not to mention, most of the plastic was dry-rotted underneath the paint. If I could find all the parts in that color at a reasonable price, I'd go back to it.

I'll be damned. A friend found this on Craigslist, which looks about spot on for the color. So I'm not as original as I thought. Smile

Now all I have to do is 'shop the right wheels and some bottom trim on it. Thoughts?

i like it, i was debating with going with a burnt orange color (bittersweet 1971 gm model year) the original color of my buddys '71 442.
