'94 Camaro rear diff
Does anyone know if these rear ends fit in our cars by chance? Or are they to narrow guy says he has one but he is 5 hours away and doesn't seem to have a clue how to measure it the numbers are way off any GM rear diff.

I highly doubt it. Look at this pic.

Not to mention I've always heard camaro rear ends '82 on weren't very strong.

Re: '94 Camaro rear diff
I imagine they beefed them up in later years to handle the LS engines. Still doesn't address the width issue, though.

Re: '94 Camaro rear diff
First thing that caught my eye was there arent any "ears" on the diff housing for the upper control arm bushings.

Re: '94 Camaro rear diff
I had a new '86 Camaro, that I bought for the wife. The rear end had a torque bar on it, going to the transmission. Kinda strange. I found that out early, when the bolts on it fell out the first month !! Scared the wife when the torque bar was banging on the bottom of the tunnel !

Re: '94 Camaro rear diff
I think i read that they were weak rearends (even with the ls engine) GM saw no need to up grade it since the tires or the clutch would slip before any breakage. Now if you were running slicks....all bets are off.thatfnthing wrote:I imagine they beefed them up in later years to handle the LS engines. Still doesn't address the width issue, though.
