Crane Cams aquired by S&S Cycle
Here it is, a month late:

Let's hope they don't discard the V8 stuff & make it a Harley cam manufacturer.

I always liked running their Energizer roller rockers. I liked Comp Magnum & Hi Energy cams, but after hearing about noise issues with the XE line & now "Thumpr" cams designed purely for sound I'm having second thoughts. I just bought my 1st Crane camshaft for the motor I'm getting ready to build. Nice little 266 Energizer cam & lifters brand new $75 shipped! We'll see how it works.
Only problem with Lunati is it's the hot ticket right now. Everyone & their mother is running a Lunati Voodoo cam with AFR heads & an Edelbrock Air Gap intake all on a 383 running Flowmaster exhaust. Where's the creativity? I did run a BMII 00012LK in a 350 before & for having so much duration, that thing had a real strong bottom end even with a Team G intake!

Re: Crane Cams aquired by S&S Cycle
I've got a couple Crane cams here. One's a flat tappet hydraulic for a small block Chevy and the other is a hydraulic roller for a late '90s 5.9 litre Dodge Magnum truck engine.
Always had good luck with Crane and Isky. The reason Lunati's VooDoo cams are so popular is they hired Harold Brookshire to design them and he's one of the best old time cam designers on the planet, bar none. I have one of his UltraDyne solid lifter cams here as well. It may be a bit radical for the street, but if the cam lobes will clear the rods when I finish clearancing my block and get this stroker crank in, I'll run it anyway. Its a short track grind and I had Harold spread the LSA from 106 degrees to 110 degrees for street use.
Happy Motoring,
Harry
