hello all
Just came across this site while looking into swapping a caprice 9c1 rearend into my 77 elco
currently(for the last five years or so) just a beater/daily driver, but with the addition of a new daily now hopefully i will get the time and money to go through and do some restomod work on her. she came straight out of the junkyard(minutes from the crusher)so this is my junkyard dog.....
(edit, wouldn't allow me to post photobucket links, so hi anyways)

Re: hello all
Welcome...glad you found us! I, too, am the proud owner of a rescued car ('75 Laguna)...only mine was a day away from being sold as a Demo Derby car. Lots of good information shared on here that transcends all GM "A" body makes and models of this era.

Re: hello all
Thought i would go ahead and add some pics, its just a beater, but currently being stripped for it's third life as a "muscle cruck"
please be gentle, this ole beater has really taken care of me through several years of me beating the piss out of it.........
basicly i pulled this thing out of the salvage, added a motor/trans, bolted in a seat/door panels and have proceeded to beat on it.
now it is getting some(a bunch) of work it sorely deserves.(i never have liked brown anyways)

Re: hello all
No rot,at least 4 grand in NY. Welcome. Good save! Like giving greenies the finger when you put a junked car back on the road. Best way to recycle as far as im concerned.

Re: hello all
The only part that looks "beat" is the tailgate. Â I can't believe it was in a junkyard five years ago, i mean that someone didn't part it out or make a stock car out of it
