Cool seeing TV & movie cars in the wild at cruise nights & car shows. I have seen a few, including the General Lee, several times! What have you spotted up close & personal? This was spotted in central IL:

Anyone else enjoy models of cities & towns &/or created 1 of your own!?

Re: TV-movie cars seen & model layouts
I have seen two this year. One was the new generation Batmobile and the other was the dodge van ambulance from mother jugs and speed.

Re: TV-movie cars seen & model layouts
Saw a bluesmobile last year built by two guys that wore the suits and had the fake tatoos etc
Saw an 89 batmobile and a half A$$ Delorean time machine at a show in Feb. All he really had was the flux capacitor
Fun though

Re: TV-movie cars seen & model layouts
There's a Starsky & Hutch replica Torino running around the city -- seen it on the roads a few times, but never actually at a show.
And then there was General Lee's Mini Me:
Poor photography on my part -- it's actually the correct color of orange, and it has autographs all over it -- I assume it was some kind of give away at a show.

I went to "Stars cars" in Gatlinburg Tenn. There was a general Lee, the '69 camaro from the Charlie's angels movie, the auburn speedster that madonna drove in edit Tracy, the dragula (from the Munsters) and others that I can't remember (its been probably 14 years)

Hmmm ... wonder if that's the same 1 someone mentioned elsewhere. But, I've seen a few of these the last few years in pics, so ... who probably not.

Maybe there was more than one as giveaways. I didn't see it at a show, it was at my attorney's office in the middle of January, so I expect someone actually owns it around here.

Wow, maybe we should start a pool on what kind of vehicle we'll see next done up like the General? I'm going to guess a big old Cadillac or maybe a metro bus. Any takers?

The guy that does our paint work was the local representative for Carl Casper auto shows. Â During the height of the "Dukes of Hazzard" popularity he was contacted to pump out a couple dozen or so General Lee's when they found it was cheaper to build them locally and ship them west (rather than to ship show cars around the country). Â Exhaust pipe was used for the roll bar and push bar tubing. Â By the end of the show's run they were getting pretty desperate for base vehicles. Â One of them was so full of bondo he said "...if you are watching the show and see a car land behind a bush and there's a big pink cloud - you'll know it was this one!".
The guy lettering the flag got so efficient that he could letter the whole top in the length of time it took me to drink a 12 oz Coke.

Ive seen Mussolinis Alfa Romeo and on of Elvis Eldorados but I dont think that is what you guys are talking about. You mean T V cars. Does a really good replica of the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters count?

LOL! I'm not sure we want to know.....
Tho, that truck isn't too bad. & an old Cadillac would at least be somewhat in the show theme, since that was Boss Hogg's car of choice....
