What is Plug with Yellow Wires
Wiring Diagram is not helping. Does anyone know what this plug may go to?

Almost done with 454 Laguna project. Just some loose ends.

Looking good!
As for the wire, based on the fact that it's two yellow fairly large-gauge wires running back to the HVAC harness, it looks like the connection for the 'Engine Thermo Switch' -- see www.g3gm.com/t296-wiring-schematics-needed and look for my post of the 73 diagrams -- it's in the 7th image. I'm guessing there's a two prong coolant switch somewhere on your engine (within reach of that harness) that looks lonely. If you've swapped everything and that thing is gone, you shouldn't have any issues -- IIRC it was to trigger the blower fan at low speed when the engine had reached operating temperature.

Yep...if you look behind and below the back end of the RH valve cover, you'll see a switch sticking out of the block. That's where she goes.

Hey, Thank You Very Much. Looked back behind old motor and there she was. I bought one of those color diagrams from Fleabay and there are so many errors in the thing.
Won't be hooking that up just yet..
the new motor/combo is a 500-525 HP, 462 BBC Hydr roller cam motor with TH400, 3500 flash 10" converter and 3.42's in a very beefed up rear end with 30 Spline Mark Williams Axles and C-clip eliminators, 1350 U-joints on both ends of 1000+ HP 7200 RPM driveshaft.

Re: What is Plug with Yellow Wires
Some GM cars ( like Cadillac) call that switch the "metal switch". On some cars, the heater etc wont work if that switch fails open.

Re: What is Plug with Yellow Wires
If that happens, simply cut the plug off and splice the two wires together.
