3rd gen engine compartments were boring when new
Great for our third gen nut and bolt restorations but honestly our engine compartments were boring after gm quit with decals and chrome. My plans when I put the finishing touches on my 73 is go with the camaro Z28 (corvette) valve covers and dual snorkel air cleaner. If gm had perfomance image left in her then, figure they would have used the sbc corvette/camaro items. At least it will look factory installed. Looking toward serpentine setup to move ac compressor over to passenger side and get rid of all the hoses that ran across covering the engine. Factory look but modified. Anyone working on changing their compartments to more personal tastes?

ABS on a 3rd gen with TPI?! That's definitely a factory look! Wow!

Thanks! And because I never do anything the easy way, it has Vintage Air (compressor on the passenger side) and a custom pulley system to go around the electric water pump.

Mine has been cleaned up slightly. All emissions related stuff long gone, and all the old school accessories I could find.

Where did you get the dual snorkel air cleaner?

Thanks. The dual snorkel came from eBay motors. It is a '73/'75 corvette piece. They are a nice retrofit since they don't have the thermostat valves that the later ones do. I will add the chrome lid is for a '90 Chevy pick up ...it allows for a large filter element.
