Very nice El Camino. If its an original big block and bucket seats I think the price is in the ballpark for sure. But I suspect this has been put together from several vehicles. It has a 75 front clip, a 73 dash pad and 75-77 gauge cluster and bezel. So who knows.

Nothing gets by you g3chevy. You are an A-Body sleuth. You put the "G" in the "3". Nice car/truck though.

So the round gauges with dummy lights started in 75? Or what is the tell?

I think the round gauges with dummy lights were available all the way back to 1973. In 75 they changed the type face of the letters & numbers that stayed until 77. I copied the image and opened it in PhotoShop and zoomed in the best I could and it appears to be the newer type face but can't be certain without seeing the speedo. The speedo would be 100 mph for 75-77 and 120 mph for 73-74. Another clue to all this is the climate control face. From 73 to 75 they were different. For 76 and 77 they added a "MAX" A/C setting which this El Camino has. So that in not correct for 1974. Below are both the faces for early and late design for reference.

Hats off to you g3chevy, I caught the front clip and the emblem on the dash but I don’t think I would have ever caught the max a/c. The grille is not only the wrong year but it is actually a Chevelle grille.
