Re: Is this really an SE 77 Chevelle?
i don't know much at all about these SE's, but the T-tops seem different than the standard ones you see on G-3's. These seem to line up with the windshield line. The typical Hurst hatch style ones are more rectangular. That is really cool!
Definitely needs some work but someone needs to snag it.

Re: Is this really an SE 77 Chevelle?
There is no way to tell if it’s the ‘real deal.’
T-tops, louvers, and spoiler are dealer installed.
I did some due diligence before getting too excited.
The outside appearance is typical of the rest of the car.
Looks like original paint.
U code 305 car with unknown small block in it, been sitting for some time.
Early 70s quadrajet, early 70s intake, bright orange engine not 1977 blue.
Needs some stuff under hood, wiring, a/c compressor hardware, has chrome valve covers & chrome air cleaner, missing fan shroud.
Body isn’t too rusty, some spots, but with t-tops and missing window, there has been water inside.
Random exterior dents.
There are spots on floor that look soft, not big areas, but if not attended to, will get worse.
It’s a t-top car and probably has real actual dealer manufactured louvers, not carry overs from a Laguna.
It needs - glass work, floor work, complete everything interior, engine work, fuel system work, driveline, the usual mysteries from sitting.
If you wanted a project, and liked this body style, it could be a good one to get upside down on pretty fast.
The guy is moving but if not sold, it goes to a dealer buddy to sell.
It’s cool, but not enough there for me to pull the trigger on.
Thanks –
Jerry
