From the Big 3?
If you could have one vehicle from each of the "Big 3" ... what would it be?
Me:
1975 Caprice Classic convertible (spring/summer/fall "fun" car)
1996 Thunderbird (summer daily driver)
2010 Ram regular cab (winter daily driver)

Re: From the Big 3?
I like the front end on the 60 a lot better than the 61, but I like the 61 back end just a little bit better than the 60. I knew a guy who bought a brand new 58 Furd 2 door hardtop, solid black, and it was beautiful. One night he had just washed it and had it parked under a big blue neon sign (a huge cross on top of our church) and that thing looked fantastic. JB

Re: From the Big 3?
Hmm. I'd have to say:
Already have the '74 Chevy Chevelle
Maybe a Furd GT40. A kit car version of one would be cool
Either a 70-74 Challenger or Demon. Or a 440 powered K-car

Re: From the Big 3?
Already acquired two of them...
-1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau: Acquired 10 years ago. Will be restored to stock appearance with a nice little (or big) surprise under the hood. Will be the summer cruiser/show vehicle.
-1986 Pontiac Grand Prix LE: Acquired in February, 2010. Will be given a Lauren Engineering 2+2 nose and a spoiler then painted. Power train is still undecided. Keep it simple and swap in a 350 or... find a Turbo Regal engine and differential. Will be summer cruiser/show vehicle/bracket racer.
The one yet to be acquired:
-2009 Pontiac G8 GT. Daily driver.

Re: From the Big 3?
Wow.... Only one from each of the big three? That would be really hard to choose, seriously. Obviously the 76 is it for me, but leaving it out of the mix I would go this route:
GM
1965 Olds 442 with a 455 - had the chance to buy 3 for $1500 when I was younger. Passed it up because of lack of money & space. Too bad that opportunity didn't happen more recently...... These have always been towards the top of my list.
If not the Olds then a 1955 Chevy done up just like in 2LBT - I love that car.
FoMoCo
Call me odd, but I always remember riding in my Grandfather's old green 1972 Furd Ranger F100. If I could have only one Furd, this would be it......
Chrysler
1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX - !!!!????? Yeah at the time, Mitsubishi & Chrysler were sister companies, called Diamond Star Motors or DSM for short. This is legitimately a Chrysler product & compared to anything else being put out in 91, damn worthy of being called American. If it's not considered a valid request, slap a Plymouth badge on it & give me a turbocharged AWD Laser.

Re: From the Big 3?
I'm happy with my current GM and MoPar.
FoMoCo, would probably go to a 1963 Galaxie 500 XL 427 hardtop. Or a 55 Crown Victoria. I'm a huge Crown Vic fan...ALL years...Something about them, draws me in.

my girlfriends parents neighbor had a 55 crown vic that was black and pink, it was actually pretty sweet in that color combo believe it or not.

Yes it is! Someone in my area has a 55 Fairlane convertible that is black and pink, inside and out. It's one gorgeous ride!

LOL! I know....
BTW ... changing my 3rd choice from the 2010 Ram to a Grand Cherokee!
For the record ... my 3 choices [all of which have NO connection to FWD] ... are assuming I have NO other cars. That's right ... *gasp* ... I would not have a Monte Carlo.
But I'm not sure I could limit myself to just 3 cars...lol.

Re: From the Big 3?
true! anytime ive mentioned wanting a 70-73 formula, people ask why not a T/A? i just love the dual snorkel formula hood on those cars. i had a 73 formula 350 several years ago. shoulda kept it but the body was waaaay too far gone to mess with.Rago wrote:Anything with an SD455 & 4 speed would be fun to own.....

Re: From the Big 3?
I had a buddy who had a pink and white 55 Crown Vic and it was nice. One day he tried to speed thru one yellow light too many and got broadsided and then he lost control and hit a phone pole. JB
