Firethorn red?
Anyone want to tell me why all of these supposed Firethorn cars look different? I understand different cameras & lighting will make a difference, but which one looks closest to real life? All of these I found on the net are listed as code 36 Firethorn Poly.

I'm really digging the Caddy, but the Malibu looks too maroon to me & the Cutlass looks more like code 72 Medium Red. Can anyone tell me what this color actually looks like in person? I'm assuming it's one of those hard colors to take a picture of kind of like my 76 that sometimes looks brown sometimes looks bright gold.

Re: Firethorn red?
Thanks. I always wondered about if it was a maroon or if it was closer to Cranberry Red.

As long as we're talking about auto colors, there is a website I often refer to that lists the various color options available for each make, model and year. This may be common knowledge among everyone, but worth mentioning again. It's called the AutoColorLibrary at www.tcpglobal.com.

I think the Caddy at least looks original and the right color. Even the Camaro
looks closer than the other 2. Its got kind of a brown in it I think

Re: Firethorn red?
Doesnt look like that when sprayed on a full size car. Thats the color shade we were hoping for, when we sprayed it, didnt look the same, went back and complained, got another can came back and it was still the same shade.
