Rare Desoto
Here is something you may never get a chance to see in person. This is a very rare '37 Desoto 4-dr convertible. The local yard owner's son purchased this from an estate here in MN and said something like only 426 of these were made. The deceased owner also had an unrestored Tucker that found a new home in Las Vegas.
Pretty cool!

Re: Rare Desoto
my uncle has a 1937 chrysler imperial convertable. only 2 known to exist. Jay Leno offered him 150,000 for it 10-15 years ago (unfinished).

Re: Rare Desoto
That looks like a car that should be restored by Jay Leno's crew, with un-limited funds, and not by some mediocre restoration outfit.

Re: Rare Desoto
This guy doesn't suffer from lack of funds. He just had a '66 Hemi 4-spd Charger restored. Oh, and I probably shouldn't be sharing this, but this family owned salvage yard was recently appraised and offered for sale for anyone who could come up with $16 Million Dollars! And you thought these yards weren't money makers....

Re: Rare Desoto
I could see getting a business loan to help cover a million dollar investment. But, 16 million! That's sticking your neck way out on the line.

Re: Rare Desoto
if the yard with 2 duessenbergs cost 1 million, i cant even imagine what that one for 16 million must look like
