Personally, I don't like the skirts. But hey, to each his own.

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
That would work especially if you had a Pontiac front end.

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
Personally, I think there is potential. I have thought about it for a chevelle or Malibu, but, I kinda like on the elco. It definitely gives it that classy "rich" look. I'm studying the pic and the more I stare at it the more I like it.

Altho, I wonder what It would do if the wheels were more of a muscle car style, cragar, torque thrusts, or even some slotted mags!

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
Look good to me. The fender skirts are sure different but they go well with all the trim & the white stripe across the body.

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
I did a lot of soul searching in choosing those wheels. I want the sleeper look, otherwise I would have gotten Anson Sprints. JBBruisr wrote:Altho, I wonder what It would do if the wheels were more of a muscle car style, cragar, torque thrusts, or even some slotted mags!

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
I dig that. Would look even better if it was a little lower in the rear.

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
Thanks so much buddy I LOVE when im able to speak my mind freely. No offense to the owner of that cars cause its his car and if he loves it thats great, but I HATE the skirts, the wheels, and the stance, throw some factory wheels or some better looking aftermarket wheels on it, lower the A$$ end, and lose the skirts, and I would find that car to be very cool.
P.S. And what does living in Kentucky have to do with anything, are you putting yourself down for some reason like Kentuckians have bad taste lol. I like Kentucky its nice.

I'm not a fan of the fender skirts. The only thing I see them on are early Prius's. The car looks good though.

I think it's great. Its different, and I'm always into different. Nice paint scheme, tasteful choice on the wheels, and the skirts just change the whole vibe of the car.
I do think, however, it could be an inch or two lower in the rear, and I can't quite tell from the photo -- why do the seams on the skirts look pinched or wrinkled in spots? Lighting? Camera angle? Optical illusion?

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
I would love to lower my car on both ends by 2 inches, but in order to get in my garage I once in a while hit a low spot in the yard across the alley and drag my long tube headers. Its tight getting in the garage. I also avoid speed bumps when possible. The rear is actually an inch or two lower, but have a little air in the air bags for heavy loads. The skirts are photoshopped on. I will be ordering the skirts soon. JB

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
In my opinion for what it's worth is that the wheels throw the skirt vibe off some what.this may sound odd but a friend had a poncho with skirts and we put some bbs lace wheels ( think firebird gta) and it looked good but that is my opinion too. Though anything was better then the wire hub caps

Wire hubcaps kick A$$........ on a 75 Caprice Classic convertable :-)
Ya and I concur that its a wheel/skirt/ride height issue to my eyes, the skirts might fly in a different combo, as is id like it better as a stock el camino with rally wheels or something, but im into stock cars so you can file my opinions in the dumpster and I wont be overly offended. Just like someone said my car is puke green, I can buy that (even if it makes steam come out my ears because I love puke green).

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
Some colors don't work on our cars but that combo is easy on the eyes. And Cale your combo is fine too. Now I've seen a factory 74 guna kinda cream/ baby whoa nelly tan I personally didn't like

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
Like the color combo.
Like the stance, but maybe drop a little on both front and rear.
I kinda like the wheels. Maybe a little bigger or if it was dropped a bit more they may look just right!
Wheel covers... I kinda like em. Would like to see the real once to give my actual opinion.

Re: Tell me the rtruth...
I have been babysitting my 5 year old grand daughter while school is out and have had little time for anything else, so have not ordered the skirts yet, but I will. JB http://www.fenderskirtdepot.com/

I love El Caminos of that generation
I must, because I'm on the 4th one !

Even bought one new in 1977. I'm old school when it comes to wheels, and I like original rally types.
The skirts don't do it for me, when the rear has flair to the wheel openings. Beautiful Elco though !!
