Hope y'all are having a wonderful Christmas celebration with family and friends today!

Ours is a very diverse extended family consisting of both Jewish and Christian traditions. I am Jewish and my wife is Christian, so we celebrate both Chanukah and Christmas in our home at this time of the year.

What are your customs and observances of the Christmas holidays like where you live?

We usually have a different theme each year, depending upon at whose home we celebrate the holidays. This year, we will meet at my eldest son's home and my daughter-in-law will be making her traditional beef Christmas tamales and all the fixin's. In the morning, we will have nopales con huevos and papas con huevos. Then the big tamal meal in the early afternoon. And a mixture of pot luck and carne guisada con papas in the evening. And of course, bunuelos, bizcochitos and pecan pie for desert.

Merry Christmas Harry & All. Our family all get together on Thanksgiving and Christmas for a big family meal and give gifts on Christmas Day. With all the carrying ons today I thought I would relax for a moment and type this out. It does not matter if you are a Christian as we are or jewish, we all have the same God. JB
