What kind of license plates you guys have? Normal registered, historical, year of the car?
The plate I have registered to my car is a normal plate. But I have the year plate for show on the front. In Michigan, 1973 was the last year for the year to be stamped into the metal. So, it has a 74 renewal sticker in the corner. Got a set of two matching...only one with the sticker though. They're blue with white lettering

Re: Plates.
I have regular plates. Kansas has a nice option of running vintage plates for the model year of your car. If I find a nice set of plates (or even just one, since Ks. doesn't require front plates) from 1976 I could register them to go on my 76 Laguna.

Re: Plates.
I have historic plates for mine, but here in the good old bluegrass you can legally put ANY KY plate on it as long as you have the historic plate in the vehicle-So i have 1975 Jefferson County plates on mine.

Re: Plates.
the top plate is registered to my car

the bottom plate is one that I had made with the correct style for 1973
If i register my car with
histerical plates
,I can put 1973 Ohio plates on my car. Thus I would use the 73 MONTE plate I had made.

Re: Plates.
Regular plates as of now, but I plan to go with an Antique Tag on my 76 in the future. OK apparently doesn't care for them unless it's a show or parade car. KS is a different story.

Re: Plates.
I just got my collector plates in the mail today, Wisconsin DMV is so slow! But I bought my car in Michigan and the seller left the front plate on it, so I have been driving with the blue Michigan plates with white lettering, and 1975 is stamped in the metal. I am going to hang it in my garage.

Nice plates, Chris.
On the Plymouth, I have an original 48 plate on the back. When my grandpa first got the car, he had vanity plates made for front and back that said "1948PLY". One is still on the front, for show, as seen in my avatar.

Re: Plates.
I have Historical plates on my Elkys. I did not sell the 78 yet, the guy never came back. His loss, my gain. I have regular plates on the Furd, I think I have it sold, the guy is a lot better guy than the other guy, it was that obvious. He is coming back Thursday or Friday to bring his boss (wife) so he can get her permission. I haul stuff in the 78 Elky all the time and if they catch you with Historical plates while hauling you get in trouble. JB

Re: Plates.
I am one step from bankruptcy. I hate to let it go. Actually, I am giving it away, I have the LTD up for $3,000 and the 78 Elky up for $2,000. I need money NOW. I have run my credit card to over $5,000 just by buying groceries and other unnessessary stuff. JB
