Malibu SS was the Z-15 option on the Malibu not a separate model
Laguna was the top line
74 Up Malibu was base

Re: Car List
Not a whole lot of difference, but Monte Carlo S was the base model, and Monte Carlo Landau was top.
In 1973 only, there was a Monte Carlo Sport Coupe, which was base, then the S, then Landau. 74+, S then Landau.

Re: Car List
What are you referring to when you say "share the same parts"? Are you talking engine, body, frame, or interior? Cause I know the '73 Chevelle is the same as the '74-76 except the '73 has a different rear end and had the swivel bucket seat option.

Those cars aren't even in the same league as an A-body. Where did that come from?
Novas, Omegas, Venturas, & Apollos are X-body cars with no frame, no balls, no style.

Re: Car List
The seats are the same bases, just deferent skins. A '73 core suport is defernet then a '74 as are the bumpers.

Actually, all the 73-77 years had a different rear end. 76 and 77 I believe are similiar, but not exactly the same. 73-75 are distinctly different. The 75 trunk is straight across, which give it a much smoother look. That's why I favor it over the 2 previous years. Also, 76-77 had more steps in the headlight chrome, which is why I don't prefer them over the 75.
On another note, last week a guy told me he had a car just like mine, but it was a 72. I didn't say anything, but thought "Dude, you're not even close to knowing what year you drove." Oh well, I guess he didn't get into the Chevelles as much as some of us.

Re: Car List
You must mean tail lights when you say rear end huh? Yes the only difference between 76-77 tails are the amount of white (Limey used to have a couple of good pics to show the difference). All 75-77 tail panels can be swapped with one another whether it's a 75 Laguna or a 77 Classic they are interchangeable. Also, the 75 headlight bezels are identical to the 76 & 77 base headlight bezels. How do I know? My passenger side is the factory 76 bezel & my driver side I pulled from a 75 Chevelle. No difference at all.
Don't forget this is including all G3's, so we can get into even MORE details if needed........

How can you swap this rear panel with the '75? You'd have to change a lot more because of the shape of the trunk.

Then we have the headlights, which are very different on the 76-77. Maybe the openngs are the same size you can swap them, but then it's not original.
