New newby in Oklahoma
Hi Everybody!
My name is Wes, and I've got a mint green 75 Malibu Classic coupe. It's been in the family since my Dad bought it from the daughter of the original owner in 1994. Here's a pic of it, and one of the rest of my Chevy fleet.

I've been active in the 67-72 Chevy truck community for a few years now, and look forward to getting to know the 73-77 crowd!

Re: New newby in Oklahoma
Thanks!
I was "reunited" with the car in 2008. It was my only car from 2000-2003, then it sat for awhile at my Dad's and then my brother's places. Here's a few more pics from then when I trailered it home.

As you can tell, I love the old Chevys!

Welcome! You're still a ways away from me. There are too many trees in these pics to be near where I'm at.

Welcome to the site from a former Okie. I've always had a soft spot for the 67-72 trucks. I see you have a 67 Small Window with 68+ side markers.

Re: New newby in Oklahoma
Thanks all!!!
My Malibu is a driver right now and what I use for long-distance trips. I recently rebuilt the front end, just last fall. She eats highway miles! 350 engine, Q-jet carb and a TH350 trans.
And thanks for the comments on the 'burb and truck. The truck is my "Frankentruck", because it is actually a 1970, but an accident I had in 2006 required a new cab. The front clip I changed out 'cause I like the 67-68 front end. Its is what I've probably spent the most on, and just needs minor work on the cab, trim holes filled & paint. Mechanically, its all new.
My little joke is that I only need 1 truck, so why not have a little from every year 67-72 on one?
I love my trucks, but I also love the way the Malibu rides & handles, especially on the open road, just wish I could trip over parts for it like I can the 67-72s.

Re: New newby in Oklahoma
Parts aren't too hard to find these days. Check out the vendors thread. A lot of companies have really stepped up in the last few years & 95% of our suspension parts interchange with 77-96 B Bodies. Dan & I both have parts cars as well if you need something & don't mind taking an hour or two drive.
Interesting story on the Frankentruck. The 67-68 front end is my favorite of the three "styles" as well.
